3-Year-Old Raped, Murdered By Relative In Tirupati, Body Buried In Field

A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped and then murdered by her distant relative in a village in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh.According to Tirupati District Superintendent of Police L Subbarayudu, the girl’s maternal uncle Nagaraju (24) took her to a secluded place in AM Puram village on Friday evening by luring her with something and raped her there.

SP Subbayadu told that Nagaraju lived near the girl’s house and used to play with her every day. On Friday evening he took her to a shop and bought some food items from there. After this, he took the girl to a secluded place away from her house, where he raped the girl and then murdered her.

Subbarayudu told that after seeing the girl missing for a long time, her parents searched for her and came to know that the girl was last seen with Nagaraju. Then they lodged a complaint about the girl’s disappearance in the police station.

Senior police officer said that the police immediately registered a missing case and took Nagaraju into custody. The officer said that during interrogation the accused confessed to his crime.

The girl’s body was recovered near a government school at around 9 pm.The officer said that a case has been registered against Nagaraju under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) and other related sections. Tirupati SP said that he will request to hear this case in fast track court.
