A shooting incident rocked the Welcome area of North East Delhi on Saturday evening, where more than 60 rounds were fired amid a dispute between two groups of jeans wholesalers. A 22-year-old woman, Ifra, was injured in the incident while standing on her balcony and has been admitted to GTB Hospital for treatment.

Delhi Police reported that senior officers, including ASI officials, arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information about the gunfire around 4:42 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered empty cartridges scattered in the street. The area was cordoned off as a precautionary measure while the investigation commenced.

Further inquiries revealed that the altercation stemmed from a financial dispute among the wholesalers. A total of 17 items were recovered from the site by the crime team, including empty cartridges, live rounds, and deformed metal pieces. Police have successfully arrested several suspects involved in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
