The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the postponement of the UPPSC PCS examination, originally scheduled for October 27, 2024. The preliminary examination is now tentatively set to take place in December 2024, with the exact date to be announced soon on the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
This marks the second time this year that the UPPSC PCS exam has been rescheduled. Initially, it was set for March 17, 2024, but concerns over potential paper leaks led to that postponement. Candidates will receive updates regarding the new examination dates through the official website.
According to the commission’s notice, the preliminary exam is expected to be conducted around mid-December 2024. In light of the postponement, candidates have begun protesting against the decision. The official notification can be accessed on the UPPSC website.
The preliminary examination for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services will consist of two compulsory papers, both assessed using OMR sheets. Paper I is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while Paper II will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Each paper carries a weight of 200 marks, with a duration of two hours.
It’s important to note that Paper II is a qualifying paper, requiring candidates to achieve a minimum score of 33%. Candidates must appear for both papers, as failure to do so will result in disqualification. Further details regarding the examination schedule will be communicated to candidates shortly.
