‘Batenge To Baatne Waale Mehfil Sajayenge’: PM Modi Supports Yogi’s Comments on Congress

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong offensive against the Congress party on Saturday, accusing it of fostering caste divides and urging the public to remain united against opposition agendas aimed at dividing the country. Speaking at a rally in Washim district, Maharashtra, Modi emphasized that unity is crucial to thwart Congress’s divisive tactics.

“They (Congress) believe that if we unite, their agenda to fracture the nation will collapse,” Modi stated, criticizing the party for its history of exploiting the poor for political gain. He further alleged that Congress is driven by a “gang of urban Naxals” and accused them of associating with elements that do not have India’s best interests at heart.

During the event, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for various projects valued at over ₹32,800 crores in Thane. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were also present.

Among the projects inaugurated was the BKC to Aarey JVLR section of the Mumbai Metro Line – 3, estimated to cost around ₹14,120 crores. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, which will be built at a cost of approximately ₹12,200 crores.

Addressing the large gathering, Modi criticized Congress’s stance on various issues, saying, “Our government has introduced a bill on illegal encroachment by the Waqf board, but Congress’s new ‘disciples’ are opposing it for their politics of appeasement.” He also called out Congress for its comments about Veer Savarkar and accused the party of inconsistency regarding Article 370.

Modi described Congress as the “most dishonest and corrupt party in India,” citing recent scandals involving Congress leaders, including a land scam and allegations of drug use in Haryana. He pointed out that while his government advocates for building toilets, Congress has imposed a “toilet tax” in Himachal Pradesh.

“Today, every citizen has a singular goal—Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Every decision and dream of our government is dedicated to this goal. To achieve it, we must make cities like Mumbai and Thane future-ready. But for this, we need to work doubly hard—because we need to foster development while also filling the gaps created by the Congress government,” Modi concluded.
