Police have arrested the main accused Chandan Verma in the case of murder of a Dalit government teacher and his family in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. The police is now interrogating the accused Chandan in the murder case that took place on Thursday.The main accused Chandan was caught in a joint operation between STF and local police. It is being told that after the arrest, Chandan has confessed his crime to the police.
On Thursday, Dalit government teacher Sunil Bharti, his wife Poonam and their two children were shot dead in Shivratanganj police station area of Amethi, UP.After investigation in this case, police came to know about extra marital affair after which the name of a person named Chandan came to light. The police had already arrested one of the two people who carried out the murder. While investigating, the police has now arrested the main accused Chandan Verma.
According to the information received from the police, the accused is being interrogated. Chandan has also confessed his crimes before the police. The case of murder of the deceased teacher and the entire family is of Ahorwa Bhawani intersection of Shivratanganj police station area of Amethi.
Former BJP district president Durgesh Tripathi reached the father of the deceased on Friday and assured strict action against the culprits. He called former MP Smriti Irani and got her to talk to the father of deceased Sunil. While talking on the phone, Smriti Irani told the Dalit teacher’s father that she is with him.
He told Sunil’s father to take strict action against the accused and also promised to provide all possible help to his family. The police have made a big revelation about this murder within 24 hours. Police have said that a case of extra marital affair has come to light behind this murder.
Poonam, wife of Dalit government teacher Sunil Bharti, had an illicit relationship with a man named Chandan. Both knew each other for a long time. A few days ago, Sunil had caught Poonam and Chandan together. After this, Sunil pressurized Poonam to leave Chandan and beat her.
