The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken action against controversial YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, along with Punjabi singer Rahul Yadav, known as Fazilpuria, by seizing their assets in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. This move follows ongoing investigations into alleged illegal activities.
Previously, the ED recorded statements from two individuals connected to the case and conducted extensive questioning. Elvish Yadav faces accusations related to illegal snake supply and was arrested by Noida police for involvement in the illegal trade of snake venom. Following his arrest, the ED initiated a money laundering case against him.
Yadav has been charged under multiple laws, including the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Wildlife Protection Act, and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He has consistently denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless. Notably, police later withdrew the NDPS charges, acknowledging that they were filed in error.
On March 17, Yadav was arrested on accusations of using snake venom for consumption at parties. In April, police submitted a 1,200-page indictment detailing charges of snake smuggling, drug possession, and hosting illegal gatherings.
The ED’s actions have gained traction as investigations into money laundering linked to these activities intensify, bringing further scrutiny to the cases involving Yadav and Fazilpuria.
