PM Modi is set to hold bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden and other global leaders. The discussions will emphasize enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and tackling pressing global issues, including the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

On Saturday (Indian time), US President Joe Biden welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Delaware for a bilateral meeting. The leaders are set to discuss various issues, including China’s activities in the Indo-Pacific and the ongoing war in Ukraine. They will also explore new pathways to deepen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
Accompanying PM Modi were External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra. The US delegation included Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti.
Upon arrival at Philadelphia International Airport, PM Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian community and engaged with attendees before heading to his hotel in Delaware. At the Hotel duPont, he was greeted with music, dance, and a performance of Garba by local women. Modi expressed his joy in interacting with the community and highlighted an upcoming event scheduled for Sunday.
In a tweet, he noted, “The Indian community has distinguished itself in the USA, making a positive impact across diverse sectors. It’s always a delight to interact with them. I will address the Modi and US programme in New York City on Sunday at 9:30 PM India time. Let’s celebrate the bonds that connect our nations!”

Additionally, a Quad summit will take place in Wilmington, Biden’s hometown, where new initiatives are expected to be announced. PM Modi will also participate in a roundtable with CEOs from leading American tech firms focused on AI, quantum computing, and semiconductors, as well as attend an Indian diaspora event in Long Island, New York.
Ahead of the visit, Modi expressed enthusiasm for engaging with Quad leaders, including Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, to advance the group’s mission of promoting peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
